Today: Create a graphic organizer to follow along and organize
your info
Longterm: you have until class Friday to show me – everyone in
the class that is – that you understand this information. How are
you going to do that?
In the Primary, Secondary, Advanced columns,
sort these concepts correctly

PHYSICAL

BIOLOGICAL

Bacterial growth promoted, then killed
› Aeration encourages bacterial growth
 puts O2 back into water
› Bacteria decompose waste – yum!
› Bacteria are killed via chlorine (usually)

Removes >90 percent of suspended solids.

CHEMICAL & PHYSICAL


Reduce pollutants of “special concern”
