Awards for the worst
Maybe you have watched many movie
festival shows. But do you know the most
interesting movie festival? It’s the Golden
Raspberry Awards or Razzies(金酸梅
奖). Nobody in the film industry
wants to get a prize at the festival.
Why?
The awards, first awarded in 1981, were
created by John Wilson in 1980. The award
looks like a raspberry. It is made of plastic
and only costs 5 dollars. Unlike the Academy
Awards (Oscars), the awards honor the worst
things in the movie industry. Traditionally, the
nominations(提名) are announced one
day before the Oscar nominations, and
the awards are presented one day before
the Oscar ceremony.
The official awards of the Razzies are:
Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Actor,
Worst Actress, Worst Supporting Actor,
Worst Supporting Actress, Worst Screen
Couple, Worst Screenplay(电影剧本).
Worst Prequel or Sequel(最差续集)
and Worst Remake or Rip-off (最差翻拍)
are new awards. And Worst New Star
and Worst Original Song are now rarely
awarded.
Writing a film review is like writing a book
review. (P42)
写一份电影评论就像写一份书评。
