Expectations
 Increase
technology integration into
classroom curriculum
 Integrate technology into special
projects
 Learn new presentation techniques
 Integration of Internet into curriculum
Actual Results
 Knowledge
of MS-Word as a web
authoring tool
 Ability to utilize web as a resource for
both students and teacher
 Ability to fuse different programs
together to format a lesson plan
Successes and Shortcomings
I feel the major success of my lesson is that
all 7 Ag. Instructors and other staff teaching
ROP will be able to utilize the Employability
Portfolio. Using this format, any student will
be able to complete this lesson individually by
accessing Internet. One shortcoming is that
all the Internet links utilized in this lesson
must consistently be checked and updated.
Shortcomings Summarized
 Instability
of links
 Lack of “instant” feedback or review
 Volume of resources may detract from
creativity
 Assumes Internet competence
Successes Summarized
 24/7
access to lesson plan
 Self contained lesson plan
 Widely available to all ROP students
 Re-enforces use of technology while
completing lesson
Student Data
Data indicates that the post-test data is
significantly higher than the pretest
data. I attribute this to understanding
of components and information
needed to compose a resume by the
use of a template or by using skills
gained in Word.

Conclusion
The course has enabled me to better utilize
technology in my curriculum. Learning to use
the tools provided by the Internet and web
page technology has provided me with the
ability to place lessons on the Internet and
improve student access to them. I have
learned that the Internet is a valuable
resource for students provided it is TeacherDirected. Internet resources and current
search engines require a degree of
competency to utilize them correctly and
efficiently. An asset of electronic web-based
lessons is that they are readily accessible for
revision and updating.
