User Registration
•
Register your organization and first admin user:

Click on “Register” under https://platform.cloudbroker.com
Fill out the form and accept the terms
Wait for your registration to be activated by the instructor
Check your email inbox for the login link and call it with your
web browser / alternatively ask the instructor to call the login
link for you and login with your email and password
You should now be logged into the CloudBroker Platform
Add further users in your organization, if existing

Click on “Users / New”
Fill out the form
Click on “Save”

• Click on all tabs and subtabs in the platform:
– “Home”, “Users”, “Software”, “Resources”, “Jobs”,
“Invoices”, “Information”
• Find the uniform elements:

• For a glimpse of the REST web service interface,
add “.xml” at the end of the HTML address lines

Job Submission
• Create a new job:

–
Click on “Job / New”
Use software “AutoDock 4.2.3”
Use executable “AutoDock 4.2.3 autodock4”
Use 1 node
Use argument string “-p docking.dpf -l log.dlg”
• Add a data file:
– Click on “Actions / + Data file”
– Upload input data file package downloaded from
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/46831689/inputs.tgz
– Select “Expert Options / Archive”
– Save and return to the job
• Submit the job
• Watch what happens

Software Deployment
• Add a new software
– Product “AutoDock”, version <your name>
– Select all under “Expert Options / Allowed instance types”
• Add two new executables
– Binary “autodock4” / “autogrid4”
– Select “Produces stderr”
– Unselect “Expert Options / Multi-threaded”
• Add a new installation package
– Operating system “Ubuntu 11.10”
– Installation directory “/usr/bin”
– Upload installation script file downloaded from
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/46831689/install_AutoDock_on_Ubuntu.sh
• Deploy the software
• Instructor will show how deployments are generated and the
software is activated
