Creation of data file may be accomplished using:
CATS School Year 2002-03 Software
OR
Locally developed or commercial software.
 Must meet file and record format requirements.

CATS Software allows users to:
Maintain student records.
Generate aggregate statistical reports
based on 2002-03 data for your school.
Access to program approvals.
Create file for Web submission.

Student Data Submission
CATS Web-based file submission:
 Provides feedback on data/file quality and
characteristics at the time of submission.
 Fewer phone calls
 E-mail feedback from PDE
 Adds local control of and accountability for data.
 Is password protected via e-PDE Web Portal.

CATS Student Data Submission system.
 User registration request needs to be
approved by District/AVTS e-PDE CATS
Security Approver.

• Security Administrators (LEA-wide)
• Security Approvers (LEA-wide and application
specific - CATS, CAD, SAM…)

 Consider adding a help desk.
 Be prepared to hold a lot of hands!!

