How to draw a
perfect star.
By Ellie Hughes and Scarlett Griffin
1. Draw a regular pentagon. To figure out the angle size, the equation is 3 X 180
divided by 5 (number of sides) = 108 degrees this is because you can fit 3
triangles in a pentagon and there is 180° in a triangle.
2. After the pentagon is drawn, check your angles and make sure each one is 108
degrees. Next, label all your midpoints in your lines with a dotted line. Draw a
line from each of your midpoints of the line and from the angles of each line.
3. You should be able to see how the star is formed at this point. Basically just
connect lines from angles to your midpoint lines.
4. You should now have a five pointed star.
