DECEMBER 2012
Well here it is – we have been trying for half a term in
Creative Afternoon on Fridays to put together a
magazine that we can show on our website.
Well this is the first one and by and large we
are quite pleased with it. Some pages are
better than others but that’s ok – we all have to
start somewhere. Have fun clicking.
Erin is the netball captain.

JRSO TRIP
The JRSO (junior road safety officers) went on a exiting trip .
when the JRSO went on a trip they went to some work shops. Freya , Dasiy
and Olivia went to a work shop and they learnt to save some one in a car
crash. There was a dummy and they pretend he was in a car crash it was
hard but at least they know how to save somebody’s life.
The first activity that they did was a poster a poem a rap or a poem about road
safety . They did a poster. Alfie and Sian wrote lots of ideas about road safety .
Another activity they did was police games. There was a board game with 8
boxes and it said start and finish. they had to choose a person to be the
counter. Alfie was chosen in their group. Next the 3 groups had to choose a By
name for their group. The JRSO had a magnificent time. They also got a greatRomy
trophy.

• On residential trips in year 4 you used go to Shortenills. It is great you do
lots of things including star orienteering.
• You go to the farm and have dormitory time. This means you stay in your
dormitory before you have your next lesson. You get hot chocolate before
bed which is at 9:00PM.
• You can choose where you sleep but not on the top bunks you can’t
choose where you eat. Where you are seated there is a shop where you
go on the Wednesday. There are pencil cases, rubbers, posters and much
more….
• You stay there for 5 days stretching through April to May You can take
cameras but not electronics . Yr 4 are going to a new place this year I am
sure they will tell us all about it. Have fun year 4.
