Transcript Norm of feeding

A lot of people don’t know a thing
about feeding. They eat what they’ve
got in the fridge. However, we should
remember about healthy eating !
Appropriate
nourishment consists in
full coverage of energy and
nutritive elements our
body requires that are
vital to progress of life and
keeping our health.
Unhealthy diet is
dangerous for our
health and life. We
eat unhealthy foods
because they are
delicious and
prepared without
time loss. In Poland
only few percent of
adults are obese. In
Germany one-third
of people deal with
this problem.
We become obese
because of two main
reasons - we eat too
much, and we do not do
any sports or any other
physical activity. Let’s
say that we eat 3500
calories per day - then
we can safely assume
that we are developing
bad eating habits, as
3500 calories per day is
just too much one has to
eat.
It is very unhealthy for us
when we aren’t physically
active. Bad eating habits
are dangerous for our
body. What is more, only
30% of people has genetic
predispositions for eating
extra meals. Most of us
eat because of our own
wish. Such patterns are
often carried from the
childhood to the adult life.
Changes
• Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits as they
are healthy.
• Reduce consumption of red meat. Eat
fish and lean meat instead.
• Balance your diet. ( 15% protein, 30% fat,
55% carbohydrates.
• Resign from fast foods
completely.
• Be physically active.
• Eat soups often.
Resign from fizzy drinks. Drink a
lot of water. Thirst is the best
quenched with water.
Instead of whole fat products eat their equivalents
e.g. curd instead of cheese, drink milk 0,5%,
choose yoghurt instead of cream.
• Resign from fast foods
completely.
• Be physically active.
• Eat soups often.
Now, let us see just a
few facts from the
scope of the history of
dietetics. As everybody
knows, during the
Second World War
the food was very
hard to get. This is the
reason why people
suffered hunger and,
as a consequence,
mortality among them
during this period of
time was very high.
These gaps in food
supplies and affluence
people tried to
compensate right after
the war – when new
companies were
established and an
intense economic
development took
place. Also this was a
time when sitting
position became major
working position.
Therefore, the surplus of eating products
together with sitting position caused progress of
obesity. In the sixties people came back again to
promote the slim silhouette. Nowadays, these
trends (many times fanatic) for getting such
figure we would call anorexia or bulimia.
However, it should be remembered that these
expressions did not function in the sixties.
Everyone who wanted to become
known in the show-business at that times
had to undergo slimming process. It was
a basic element of achieving success and
making a career. Then a lots of different
kinds of diets were invented.
Some of them didn't last,
because they were too elaborate
or difficult to carry for wageearning persons. Other ones,
however, much more simple to
carry out, and which do not
disturb living normal life,
remained popular until today.
