Chemical Histories
Context. The chemical history of the Universe is dominated by the nucleosynthesis occurring in many
generations of stars, in different environments, and likely under different initial and surrounding
conditions. So far, we have been able to probe in quite some detail the chemical evolution of our own
Galaxy and of a few other nearby galaxies.
Aims. Extend our local (chemical) view of the Universe (more distant galaxies as well as going beyond
the solar neighborhood).
Methods. Medium or high-resolution (multi object) spectroscopy, from the near-UV to the near-IR
