Explain in detail the safety guidelines you
would follow when working with potassium
hydroxide.
Evidence
When working with potassium hydroxide,
which is corrosive, I would wear gloves and
goggles to avoid contact with my skin and
eyes. Since it is also toxic, I would not eat or
drink in the lab to avoid ingesting or inhaling
it. I would also not want to expose anyone
else to the substance, so I would be sure to
keep it in a tightly closed, labeled bottle and
store it in a locked cabinet.
