Global Address Book in Microsoft Dynamics® AX
2012
Organize, Reuse, and Secure Parties in an
Organization
Value Proposition
New features in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 allow you to:
 Negotiate agreements based on a comprehensive understanding of all activity
your organization has with a particular party.
Internal abstraction of a party setup enables reuse of the same information in a different context.
For example, employees or customers can also be set up as vendors without re-entering all of the data.
Accessing that party’s information will give an all-up view of all the activity with that party.
 Identify strategic relationships to help negotiate and close a sale.
Manage roles and relationships of individuals with organizations.
 Identify potential partnerships even with competitors.
 Allow transaction processing within and between companies by using the same
forms and business logic.
Provide easy access and information sharing by organizing all party information into address books and
setting up address book security by teams and legal entities.
 Capture rich data to optimize customer service.
 Identify potential conflicts of interest.
 Provide rich historical data for data mining.
