Duty of Probation Service
• To protect the public from harm by
supervising offenders, enforcing court
orders and rehabilitating offenders
• To work in partnership with other agencies
to achieve these goals

offenders completing accredited

• Below average numbers of SFOs in the
Area
• One of the few probation areas to be
meeting the compliance target
East Herts. Area
• Currently supervising 581 people in East
Hertfordshire, Broxbourne and a part of
North Hertfordshire
• 8 (1%) cases are classified as high risk
• 13 (2%) cases are classified as Persistent
and Priority Offenders (no C2 cases in
East Herts. at present)
East Herts. Area
• Enforcement within required time limits at
100% for this year and last
• 74% of orders and licences complete
successfully
• 93% OASys assessments completed on
time
• 26 offenders started DRR against target of
30 for the year; 73% comply to 12 weeks
of the DRR
