When: Monday, September 12th from 6-9 PM
Where: Great Hall Meeting Room at the Ohio State Union
BDAA would like to invite you to the Data Analytics Networking Night. This year, the event will be more relaxed than a career fair,
providing a chance to interact casually but still snag an interview and potentially a job! There will no booths nor resume handouts
(electronic resumes will be provided beforehand). Professionals will collect student's business cards instead.
Over 22 companies have confirmed attendance including Cardinal Health, Ford, EY, Capital One and several start-ups! A full list is
available on our website.
You MUST register, but do so only if you know you will be able to attend. Food and business cards will be ordered for each student.

What is Data Science?
• Data science is an interdisciplinary field about processes and systems
to extract knowledge or insights from data in various forms, either
structured or unstructured, which is a continuation of some of the
data analysis fields such as statistics, data mining, and predictive
analytics
• “Data scientist” is a Data Analyst who lives in California
• Data Scientist (noun): Person who is better at statistics than any
software engineer and better at software engineering than any
statistician
• Data Science describes the art of extracting knowledge from data. It
combines concepts from statistics, machine learning, and computer
science.
