hostels, second stage accommodation projects
• 67% of 2012 sample also in 2011
• Broadly representative of the nine English regions

Clients with substance misuse issues
• Almost all projects in SNAP 2010 or 2011 had clients with drug
or alcohol issues
• A larger proportion of day centres than other project types
reported more than half of their clients having substance
misuse issues (2011)
• More second stage projects than other project types had no
clients with substance misuse issues (2011)
