Background
• Angus falls service and dementia liaison
team had noted that level of physical
activity was low in care homes.
• ‘Make every moment’ count resource
launched.
• ‘Generations working together’
Aims
To increase levels of physical activity
for older people living in Angus care
Homes.
To provide opportunities for community
engagement.
What we did
Go for gold - learning event where we first
thought to develop our event to include
generations working together.
Key representatives from all partner agencies
met on a monthly basis to plan and organise
the event.

100 % answered
yes to organising
another event.
75% said they were
very confident about
organising physical
activities.
25% said they were
quite confident
Comments - what worked
 My favourite bit was the
wellies

 Drug testing
 Shorter times for each

Aims for 2014
Plans are in place to host another event
in Angus in September 2014.
