MASTSR Training Overview
• Recovery is the guiding principle of the MASTSR
program
• By training non-licensed staff to assist with
medication self-administration, the nurse helps
empower those individuals who can benefit from
medication administration assistance from a paraprofessional, thereby increasing steps toward the
individual’s maximum self-sufficiency.
