Submission of Abstracts
Lucknow, the historic city of Nawabs of Awadh, is
a cultural and artistic hub of North India. It is
well known for its etiquette, hospitality,
chikankari,
Imambaras
and
research
organizations. Be it the cultural charm or the
architectural wonders, everything is well
conserved here. Lucknow is famous for its
Awadhi cuisine such as biryanis, several types of
kebabs and breads. The exquisite monuments
that were built during the ancient times are still
preserved for the present to see and cherish. It is
well connected to all parts of India by road,
railways and air.
Abstract should be not more than 250 words.
The title should be bold faced with minimum
font size 14, followed by the authors (12 font
italics) and their affiliation. Text should include
introduction, methodology, salient findings and
conclusion. The abstract should be sent on or

Dear Colleagues,
The “25th National Congress of Parasitology on
“Global Challenges in the Management of
Parasitic Diseases (GCMPD) will be held in
Lucknow, India, from October 16th-18th, 2014.
The conference will feature wide range of topics
such as host-parasite interactions, parasite
developmental
biology,
virulence
and
pathogenesis, biochemical pathways, immune
response, vaccine development, drug discovery
and drug resistance, epidemiology and disease
control. The three day event will feature keynote
lectures, oral and poster presentations by a
number of national and international scientists
and academicians and will offer an opportunity
to forge collaborations between interested
scientists and academicians.
Scientific Sessions
Deliberations will focus on the following areas:
 Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry and
Physiology
 Medicinal Chemistry, Natural products and
Traditional remedies.
 Chemotherapy, Mechanism of drug action and
drug resistance.
 Epidemiology, Taxonomy, and Phylogeny
 Disease diagnosis, pathology and control.
 Immune response and Vaccine development
 Veterinary and General Parasitology.
Venue
CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) is a
premier research institute of the Council of
Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India
headed by the Prime Minister of the nation as its
president. The institute was inaugurated on 17th
February, 1951 by the then Prime Minister of
India, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru with a vision to
strengthen and advance the field of drug
research and development in the country
against diseases of national concern. It has all
the necessary infrastructure and expertise to
develop a drug right from its concept to market.
Since its inception, CSIR-CDRI has made
significant accomplishments in the pursuit of its
mission to develop affordable health care for all.
