Five priority directions of
development of our science was
determined for the nearest perspective
– nanotechnologies and new materials,
biotechnologies, technologies for
hydrocarbon, mountain-metallurgic
sectors and related service branches,
nuclear technologies and technologies
of renewable energies, information
and space technologies.
The State is ready to appropriate funds to these
developments. Approximately by 2010 it is planned to
increase scientific research funding up to 2% of GDP, which
as N.A. Nazarbayev have noted «complies with developed
nations’ level».
The scope of financial means allocated by the
Republic of Kazakhstan to scientifictechnical sphere will be gradually increased
by 2012 to 25 times.
