The U.S. admits about 660,000 legal
immigrants per year
The Immigration Act of 1990 allows for
480,000 immigrants with family in the
US; 140,000 immigrants in needed
employment fields; and the rest percountry limits and diversity limits.
Foreign-born people accounted for 8%
of the US population in the 1990
census, in the decades prior to 1930,
the figure was 13%
In 1996 about 5 million illegal aliens
reside in the US, today our count is
close to 20 million
55% of all illegal aliens come from
Mexico, 40% live in California
The illegal alien population is growing
by about 275,000 each year
How did this problem develop?

The Industrial Revolution was a big
impact of how immigration
developed. Many immigrants came
over to the United States as an
escape from poverty, political and or
religious freedom. Also, there were
many jobs available for immigrants
here in the states. Education was also
a big reason for immigrants to come
over. the US offered free public
education which was very desirable
by the immigrants.


There are an outstanding
number of immigrants, both
legal and illegal, in the United
States. Over 12 million illegal
immigrants are residing in the
United States.
Immigrants are helping the
economy, however many
immigrants are taking jobs many
American born citizens claim are
their jobs. According to a study
by Rice University, illegal aliens
were displacing roughly 730,000
American workers every year, at
an outstanding amount of about
$4.3 billion a year. In addition,
the supply of cheap labor
depresses the wages and the
working conditions of the
working citizens, who are in fact
poor.


Many immigrants are coming to
America as students, educating
themselves, and then ultimately
going back to their home
countries. This enhances the
education of other countries
education, and not ours, this will
ultimately lead to a worst
economy
In today’s economy, the
unemployment percentage in the
U.S. is higher than ever.
Immigrants are taking jobs that
Americans need.




After a recent passage of an Arizona
law, racial profiling is a very big deal
in the United States. Immigrants of
foreign ethnicity are being
discriminated against.
The costs of illegal immigration to
the taxpayer are incredibly high, but
the largest costs are for things such
as education of their children and
emergency medicare.
Despite being ineligible, some illegal
aliens also get welfare the same way
they get jobs: with identity
documents falsely identifying them
as U.S. citizens.
In addition, if they have U.S.-born
children, they may collect welfare
assistance in the name of those
children. For example, the cost
immigration for California alone is
over 10.5 billion dollars alone.

Many immigrants are working,
making steady money, contributing
to our economy, however they are
sending lots of money back to their
home countries. This causes a
positive impact on their countries
economy’s, and a negative impact on
our country’s economy



Our nation is made of people from all over the world, called immigrants.
According to the Census Bureau, there were an estimated 8.7 million
illegal aliens living in the United States in 2000. FAIR (federation for
American immigration Reform) estimated there were between 10-12
million illegal aliens residing in the country in 2005. According to the
Migration Policy Institute, roughly 500,000 illegal aliens are added to
that population every year. If this trend continues the number of illegal
immigrants (aliens) will be over 25 million in 2020.
Crime has been a factor in immigration in the United States. As the
number of legal and illegal immigrants rises, crime percentage will
increase at the same rate.
As you know, many immigrants are taking jobs meant to be taken for
American citizens. Already, numerous jobs are being taken up by
immigrants. If in twenty years, the number of jobs taken by immigrant
rises at the same rate. Many Americans will be unemployed, and in true
need of money.
A graph of the
growth of the
United States
population


An average of $1,117 is spent
every year towards cost set for
illegal immigrants.
According to a Fox news study,
the cost in total including
general education, healthcare
and incarceration is a
staggering 113 billion dollars
per year.


It estimated that illegal
immigrants add $245
billion in Gross Domestic
Product to the economy
Gross Domestic Product
(GDP) represents the total
dollar value of all goods
and services produced over
a specific time period ,you
can think of it as the size of
the economy. Usually, GDP
is expressed as a
comparison to the previous
quarter or year. It is
commonly referred to, to
gauge the health of the
economy.



Known as the peaceful party, the
Democrats rally for personal
freedom, equal rights, civil
liberties, equal opportunity and
free endeavor.
Democrats want to give illegal
immigrants a chance to prove
their worth and become citizens
in the land of the free.
Although Americans do come
first in terms of legal protections
and rights that Democrats fight
for, their views extend to people
beyond the American borders as
well.
Democratic Party


They will passionately fight to
protect American borders and
those who live legally within
them. Their pride and patriotic
protectiveness make Republicans
much more likely to enter war
than Democrats.
Republicans often believe that
many foreigners want to "invade"
the U.S rather than become part
of it. They argue that any leeway
and forgiveness at all will cause
a rush from Latin America, and
other areas from around the
world.
