This course is for people who want to create
their business and develop solar energy
Value creation require education and
innovation
This course is based on economic, technical
and social data
At the end of this course, the students will
be able to create their job and help other
people to do so as well
Our objectives
➲
➲
Create jobs
Develop renewable energies
Our objectives
➲



Create jobs
Many fields require new tasks : health care, education,
environment...
Job creation is an engine to develop the economy
Everybody is entitle to a job with a wage related to
how much effort your are doing, related to your
knowledge.
Our objectives
➲
To develop renewable energies
Economic development need a new source of energy
Economic growth of the precednt decenies was based
on availability of cheap oil
Today, oil is no longer cheap





It is a dirty and expensive source of energy
Renewable energies are producing abundant and
clean energy
Renewable energies

Wind power
Solar energy

Renewable energies
➲





Wind power
Electricity produced by on-shore wind turbines cost 7
to 10 c per kWh
Off-shore wwind turbine are producing electricity at a
cost of 15-20 c per kWh
EWEA ( European Wind Energy Association ) is
explaining that wind energy can provide 60 % of our
needs: www.ewea.org
November 4th, 2013, Danish wind turbines produced
as much as 122 % of the needs of the country
From 2020, Scotland plan to export electricity
Renewable energies






Solar energy
Increase of production has lead to a decrease of costs
Solar energy is producing electricity when we need it
the most
According to First Solar website, a EDF subsidiary,
solar energy is cheaper than electrcity produced from
fuel.
EPIA is prooving that solar can produce as much as
30 % of our needs : www.epia.org
40 GW are going to be install in 2014, in 1 year.
Energy storage
➲


➲





➲

Storage needs
You have to store electricity only when you don't use it
Until renewable energies are smaller than 30 % , you
don't need storage
Storage possibilities
You can make methane from coal
You can make hydrogen metal hydrures from water
You can make methane from CO2
You can pump up water reserves ( gravity storage)
You can load the baterries of electric vehicles
Smart grid
Plan your domestic apparatus to use electricity when it
is available.
Energy storage
➲


Electric vehicles
If only 20 % of the vehicles are electric, the storage
capacity is large enough to stabilize the grid and
provide electricity when you need it
New batteries with higher capacities are been invented
Renewable energies
➲
Other sources of renewables
Hydroelectricity
Heat pumps
Ocean tides and flows
Biomass
Algae culture
Low Energy Nuclear Reaction ( LENR)

Today economic situation
➲
➲
➲
➲
➲
Unemployement of young people is not
acceptable
Unemployement of people over 50 is not
acceptable
Fossil fuel burning is very expensive
Burning fossil fuel creates climate warming
There is no reasons why we should go on
this way
The economic situation
➲
Unemployement of young people is not
acceptable


26 % of young are unemployed
More than 1 million young people in Europe even
don't expect to find a job
The economic situation



Unemployement of people over 50 is not
acceptable
In France, 40 % of people over 50 are unemployed
Retirement plans are lower and lower
The economic situation
➲


Burning fossil fuel is very expensive
The world has burned 3 633 Mtoe in 2011
North Americans spend 86 000 kWh per year
The economic situation
➲


Burning fossil fuel creates climate warming
The CO2 in the atmosphere is causing warming
The excess CO2 is coming from human activity
The economic situation
➲
There are no real reasons why we should
not change our economic model

Inovative solutions exist, but the people in charge
benefit from today economy and they don't want to
change it.
We don't want extremist solutions either

The economic situation
➲


The economy is slowed down buy
unemployment
We need more jobs in education, environment and
health, but government or people do not have money
to finance these jobs
Job creation and money are the keys
The economic situation
➲
The invoice for oil is gigantic




Each time you fill up your car, your money is burned
in toxic fumes
The price of oil will continue to rise up because
demand excides supply
Demand is growing, supply is going to decrease
Wars to acquire the last drops of oil or uranium are
going to proliferate
Evolution

Informations from the past
There are always opportunities for innovative
companies : Face book, Google, Microsoft,
