GIS Mapping of SI Broadband Resources
www.IWantMyBroadband.com
• Web site allows southern Illinoisans to communicate
their broadband needs directly to those network
providers who are engaged in Connect SI.
• Address information is plotted by the Connect SI GIS
mapping team onto electronic maps that clearly show
demand in different Southern Illinois regions
• Providers use the information to determine the demand
for broadband service in unserved areas — another tool
for studying cost-effective methods of making
infrastructure investments, and bringing services to that
community or region
