Huawei Bulgaria Branch opened in 2005 and has
become one of the main suppliers to Bulgaria telecom

Litex Motors factory near Lovech is the only assembly

China is our biggest trading partner in Asia
 In 2011 trade between Bulgaria and Asia totalled USD 4.7 bn, with Bulgarian exports amounting to
USD 2.2 bn – up 22 % from 2010. The largest increase of Bulgarian exports was to China (62%), India
(53%) and Japan (42%)
 In the third quarter of 2012 China became our second largest trading partner among non-EU
countries, after Turkey
 Exports to China have increased nearly 33 times and imports 7 times since 2002

By 2020 EU transport hubs will not be able
to handle all incoming air traffic

the EU

– 78% of which comes from Asia
– 24 hours by truck to all EU locations
