“The projects are making a real impact on people’s
lives. Some use it to get jobs or check their
university application. But most importantly we’re
seeing people become accustomed to the Internet,
trusting what technology can do for them and how it
can make their life simpler. If they can be included
in the digital age, then it will benefit all of South
Africa,”

Conclusion
 The amount of traffic in mobile networks will continue to grow
rapidly for both telephony and broadband services.
 To get full benefits for society out of broadband, technologies
must have economies of scale to enable a mass-market that
makes broadband affordable for everyone
 Ericsson believes HSPA will be the mainstream technology
for mobile broadband for many years to come, with LTE and
IMT-Advanced being the natural evolutions
