Industrial Radiography Supplies and Services Inc. (IR), located in
Edmonton Alberta, Canada, is in its first years of operations and has
become the leading supplier of RT products in Western Canada.
IR’s vision for the future will be to expand into other NDE disciplines
and develop an educational center focusing on radiation safety and
product training. IR will also become a leader in digital technology
working with those companies that are willing to help us develop
products that will perform under Western Canada’s unique climate and
production techniques.

Different models have Different
Ranges and are displayed using
different scales
Digital models have an easy to read
display that goes from 0.1mR to
1000R and can with the push of a
button can even display the rate as
a double check to a survey meter
Response Time Comparison

Dose Rate = 600mR/hr
Distance to Center of Detector = 11.79”

Display not scaled with
proportional increments,
makes it hard to read
current field strength at a
glance
Jumps between 500mR/hr
and 700mR/hr
Meter set on high scale If
on low, the scale range
would have to be changed
manually by the user
