1.ABSTRACT:
The need for a concealed weapons and explosive detection
systems in uncontrolled environments has increased in recent years.
Traditional metal detector inspection systems are limited to controlled
environments such as security check points and cannot detect plastic
explosives. Civilian and military security personnel need technologies
capable of detection of concealed weapons and explosives at remote
distances for enhanced safety reasons.
2.OBJECTIVES:
Since the main intension of this projects is to design “Metal
Detecting
and
Alerting
System
Using
XBee”.
In order to fulfill this application there are few steps that has been
performed

4. METHODOLOGY:
The transmitter will have the Metal Detector, when the metal
is detected the it gives the signal to the ARM , then the ARM will
send the information to another receiving station through XBee
which is in Police station or security office . At the same time ARM
will generate the out put that is fed to buffer IC 4050 ,buffer stores
and given to the driver IC 2003 in driver current will amplifies and
voltage will inverts with the help of Darlington circuit of driver IC to
drive the relay . Then signal is given to the output load for indication
purpose
.
When ARM receives the data from the XBee, it will enable
the alert through the Buzzer in receiver side .
5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES:
 ADVANTAGES:

More useful in remote areas.

Firing events more help full to save.

This project we can operate Easily .
DISADVANTAGES:
It increases the cost whereas digital systems reduce the cost of
system.
6.APPLICATIONS:

This project can be implement in Military applications.

This project can also use for Landmine detection.

This project can be use in Firing situations.
7.CONCLUSION:
In this work we have proposed an efficient autonomous system for
standoff explosive detection. While comparing with traditional systems
have lot of advantages. The main advantages are its miniature size, low
power consumption, distributed operation, and easy implementation.
