1.ABSTRACT:
In recent years, vehicle thefts are increasing at an alarming rate around the
world. People have started to use the theft control systems installed in their
vehicles. The commercially available anti-theft vehicular systems are very
expensive. Here, we make a modest attempt to design & develop a simple, low cost
vehicle theft control scheme using an inbuilt MSP 430 controller. This scheme
involves a microcontroller (MSP 430 & a buzzer).
2.OBJECTIVE:
Cars may require an anti-theft system for a variety of reasons
The car is expensive and/or has sentimental
The car is difficult/impossible to replace if lost
The car may be left unattended in an unsafe environment
Inappropriate use of the car may cause considerable damage or may enable
further unauthorized acts .
So in order to avoid these things we have designed this system.

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
MSP 430, LCD, Relay Driver, Relays, Resistors, Capacitors, LEDs, Crystal, Diodes, Transformer, Voltage Regulator, Push
Button.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Keil compiler uVision 4, Language: Embedded C or Assembly, WLPRO Programmer
4.METHODOLOGY:
This module consists of Tamper detection, 4X4 keypad for password
entry, MSP 430 controller unit and the output. If a person wants to open the door
of a car first he should enter the password. That information will be given to MSP
430 and the controller will analyses the signal and activates the DC motor to open
the car door if the password is correct. If the password is wrong controller will
activates the buzzer to indicate unauthorized person is trying to open the door.
If Tamper detection detects the signal that directly activates the buzzer to indicate
process the unauthorized person trying to access the protected object. Tamper
detection is used to avoid the damage from theft.
5.ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
ADVANTAGES:
Flexible and reliable.
In this project losses are Minimal.
This project can implement for Security of supply.
DISADVANTAGES:
It increases the cost whereas digital systems reduce the cost of system.
High Cost.
7.APPLICATIONS:
This system can be implemented in industries.
This system can be used to monitoring and controlling the home appliances.
Where security is important there we can implement this project.
7.CONCLUSION:
As this project is based on micro-controller(MSP 430) and this can be
of great use to monitor the cars continuously anywhere and activates the
buzzer if something goes wrong. From this project we can say like we have
saved valuable things.
