Associate the brightness of a lamp or the
volume of a buzzer with the number and
voltage of cells used in the circuit.
Hook: Dragons’ Den experience. In small
groups, children must visit the dragons to
reveal their business plan. They must seek
the dragons’ approval before they can begin
to advertise and produce their product to
sell at the Christmas fayre. The team with
the most profit will receive a surprise!
Outcome: Children to sell their products
at the Christmas fayre.
Compare and give reasons for variations in
how components function , including the
brightness of bulbs, the loudness of buzzers
and the on/off positions of switches.
