I will evaluate Christian Ethics by
comparing it to the other ethical theories
which have been studied

You must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the
following:
 The main ethical principles of the religion studied
(Christianity)
 How the followers of the religion make ethical decisions
(sources of Christian authority)
 The ways in which religion and morality may seem to be
linked or be seen as separate from each other (Stephen
Law and C S Lewis)
 How far morality may be seen as dependent on God
(Divine Command Theory)
 How far religious ethics may be seen as absolutist or
relativist
 How ethical theories may be considered religious
 You should also be able to discuss critically these issues
and their strengths and weaknesses.
 In
threes you are going to look at how
Christian ethics can be compared to other
ethical theories which we have studied
Kantian Ethics
Utilitarianism
Natural Law
 Your
task is to create a presentation
showing how Christian ethics can be
compared to the ethical theory
which has been assigned for you to
focus on.

