need water for absorbing nutrition
 The soil absorbs the water, and the roots
absorb the water from the soil
 Absorbs from the roots, then spreads to
the whole plant
Do Plants Breathe?
 “Inhales”
and “exhales” through leaves
 The plant gets oxygen from the air
through pores called stomata
Do Plants Have Babies?
 The
babies of plants are seeds
 The female part of a plant lays eggs
(seeds) and the plant will store them in
the ovary to protect them
