November 15,1887- March 6, 1986
American artist.
She is chiefly known for paintings of flowers, rocks, shells, animal
bones and landscapes.

1. Draw the flower with a center, black zig zags, and petals- Make it BIG!
-have some petals touch the edges of the paper
2. Fill the background with leaves
-Color the center with orange
-Color the leaves with greens –light and dark
-Color the petals with purple
-Use the q-tip to mix red and blue- use only one end of the q-tip – push the paint in the
direction of the petals
