Plants are very useful to all…
They provide us with:
Clean air
Fruits and vegetables
Shade
Wood to build homes, furniture, paper,
pencils, plates and many other things.
Homes, protection and food for animals.
How do plants grow?
Parts of a plant:
Plant a little seed in good
soil and water it often.
Make sure your plant
gets enough sun.
Soon you’ll see a little
vine which is how you
know that your plant is
growing.
THERE ARE MANY TYPES
OF TREES…
THERE ARE:
EDIBLE PLANTS that is plants that
you can eat.
FOREST TREES Plants use for their
wood or for their
products like rubber
or syrup.
WHERE DO PLANTS AND
TREES GROW…
HABITATS:
There are hundreds of
different plants and
trees.
There are trees that can
only grow in specific
places on earth. For
example: palms can only
grow in warm places.
Pines can only grow in
cold places
PARTS OF PLANTS
Roots - hold a plant in
place.
Stem - carries nutrients
and water to the rest of
the plant.
Leaves - make food for
the plant using
chlorophyll.
Flowers - home of fruits
and more seeds
What products come from
plants?
Plant prodcusts

Wood:
Foods:
To build houses,and
furniture
fruits, vegetables, herbs,
syrups, seeds, etc.

Clean Air, shade and protection
Plants take our carbon dioxide
and turn into oxygen.
Trees provide shade and make great homes for animals
Humans are destroying too
many plants…
What can you do to stop destroying
plans?
