Where it is found
• You will most likely find Poison Ivy in North
America. North America is the most common
place that you will find this Poisonous plant.
Where does it grow?
• Yes, poison ivy does grow in North America,
but is mostly found as a low woody weed
along feces stone walls paths and roads.
What does it look like
• Now Poison Ivy is pretty hard to indicate for
several reasons. One of those reasons is
because it looks just like other plants. So that
means if your hiking and you stumble into a
patch of leaves those leaves just might not be
ordinary leaves they might be Poison Ivy!
Why is it dangerous?
• Poison ivy has many possible side affects if
you are close enough to it but if you touch it
you will get a rash that will most likely look
like a straight line because of the way the
plant brushed against the skin. Some
symptoms are, redness, itching, swelling, and
blisters.
Types of Poison Ivy
• There are a couple types of poison ivy. They
are poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac.
They all do have different names but they
aren’t much different when it comes to side
affects.
